Im a jerk
This week is my last week at Applebee's. Which, I cannot wait to get out of the food service industry. It truly is like living in the movie "Waiting." So, all week long people keep coming up to me with a sad look on their face saying "AWWW Im sad that your leaving" or "We sure are going to miss you" and in this moment, I have to lie to these people. I have to say, "I know, Im going to miss you too." When really im thinking, "Im really probably not going to think of you very much ever again." So, this boils down to two things: Either im a jerk or im too realistic to get caught up in the moment. Im banking on the second one. But, i still feel kinda bad because these people really are sad and im not.

Sleeve, don't be sad. Although I doubt it...because you are great and likeable...they could possibly be lying to you and cursing you in their hearts :)

Well I remember leave my 2 food service jobs - the first as a waiter at FATZ and the other as a manager at Chick-fil-A. I remember counting the days, hours, minutes and seconds.

or maybe they say it out of obligation to....
in instances such as these...if they say, "whit...I'm going to miss you..." i would respond with something like this..."thank you...so how are you doing these days :)" not a lie.... :)
